| St. Luke's has committed itself to the proclamation
and practice of a
traditional, biblically-centered faith.
We
are part of the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth in the Western Deanery.
We are a constituent member of the Anglican Communion, a Fellowship within the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church, consisting of those duly constituted Dioceses, Provinces, and regional churches in communion with the See of Canterbury.
The mission of the
Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth is "To Equip the
Saints for the Work of
Ministry".
We are a traditional,
orthodox diocese of the Anglican Communion,
committed to the mission of
Jesus Christ, here and abroad. Both anglo-catholic
and evangelical
expressions of the faith are celebrated in the 55
congregations of the
diocese. Upholding the authority of the Holy
Scriptures, maintaining
theological orthodoxy, and practicing evangelism are
important
priorities in our common life and ministry.

The glory of these forty days
We celebrate with songs of praise;
For Christ, by whom all things were made,
Himself has fasted and has prayed.
Alone and fasting Moses saw
The loving God who gave the law;
And to Elijah, fasting, came
The steeds and chariots of flame.
Then grant that we like them be true,
Comsumed in fast and prayer with You;
Our spirits strenghten with Your grace,
And give us joy to see Your face.
Father John Phelps is the Priest-in-Charge at St. Luke's.
